Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMF)

PEMF Therapy is a type of therapy in which intermittent bursts of electromagnetic waves are directed at the part of the body that is to be treated. While often used "off-label" for TBI, PEMF is believed to have several benefits for brain injury, including limiting the brain's post-traumatic inflammatory response, stimulating vasomotion which can improve oxygen and nutrient delivery, and potentially increasing the growth rate of neurons.
