Anoxic Brain Injury

Anoxic brain injuries are caused by anoxia, or the absence of oxygen being supplied to the brain. Without oxygen, brain cells begin to die after approximately four minutes.

Anoxic brain injury is an extreme form of hypoxic brain injury.
