Toxic Brain Injury (Toxic Encephalopathy)

Toxic brain injury, or toxic encephalopathy, occurs when the brain is exposed to toxic substances. Various chemicals, heavy metals, or high concentrations of natural toxins, some of which are commonly used in everyday life, are toxic to the brain.

Treatment is mainly for the symptoms caused by toxic brain injury, which usually include an altered mental status, memory loss, and visual problems.
